Water Quality & Compliance

Bulk water is one of the few things you buy without being able to inspect it first. That makes the supplier’s standing the thing that matters — so here is ours, set out plainly.

Where DM Bulk Water stands

DM Bulk Water operates under 5 ZINWA registration certificates — one for each tanker in the fleet. Each certifies D. M. WATERS, trading as DM Bulk Water, as a registered bulk water supplier under a groundwater permit, in accordance with Statutory Instrument 90 of 2013.

All 5 certificates are reproduced in full further down this page, together with their ZINWA verification codes and the vehicle each one covers. They are valid to 31 December 2026.

You will notice what is not on this page. We do not claim to supply "the safest water in Harare", "100% pure" water, or "the cleanest water" available. Those phrases appear on a lot of water websites and almost none of them are backed by anything you could verify. We would rather publish the documents and let you judge.

Check them yourself

Every certificate below carries a ZINWA verification code and a QR code. ZINWA reserves the right to confirm authenticity using that code on its eGP system, and we publish them for exactly that reason. Any questions, call 0774 511 736.

ZINWA registration certificates

Every tanker in our fleet is individually registered with the Zimbabwe National Water Authority. All 5 certificates are published below, with the verification codes, so you can check them rather than take our word for it.

How to verify these

ZINWA reserves the right to confirm and validate any certificate using its verification code on the eGP system. The codes above are printed on the certificates precisely so they can be checked, and each certificate carries a QR code and the stamp of the ZINWA Ground Water Department, P.O. Box CY 617, Causeway, Harare.

What ZINWA registration actually means

The Zimbabwe National Water Authority is the statutory body responsible for water resources in Zimbabwe, including the regulation of abstraction and bulk supply. Statutory Instrument 90 of 2013 is the instrument that governs it.

A groundwater permit means the water is lawfully abstracted from a registered groundwater source rather than drawn informally. Registration is per vehicle, which is why there are 5 certificates rather than one — each tanker that carries water for us is individually registered and individually verifiable.

It matters to you for a practical reason: an informal operator has no obligation to anyone about where the water came from, and no standing to lose if something goes wrong. A registered one does.

Sensible precautions on your side

Whoever supplies your water, a few habits are worth keeping. None of this is specific to us — it is what any water professional would tell you.

  • Keep your storage tank covered and the lid closed between deliveries.
  • Clean the tank periodically, particularly if it has stood empty or open.
  • Treat or boil water for drinking if you have any doubt about your own storage.
  • Keep the tank inlet and surrounds clear of debris and standing water.
  • Ask any supplier what you are buying before it goes into your tank.

Questions

Compliance — frequently asked questions

Is DM Bulk Water ZINWA registered?

Yes. DM Bulk Water holds 5 ZINWA registration certificates, one for each tanker, registering D. M. WATERS as a bulk water supplier under a groundwater permit in accordance with Statutory Instrument 90 of 2013. All 5 certificates are published on this page and are valid to 31 December 2026.

Where does DM Bulk Water get its water?

Our ZINWA registration is held under a groundwater permit, which means the water is lawfully abstracted from a registered groundwater source in accordance with Statutory Instrument 90 of 2013.

How many tankers does DM Bulk Water operate?

We hold ZINWA registration certificates for 5 tankers: AEZ 5667, AFQ 8810, ACO 4113, AFC 8489, AFC 9526. Each vehicle is registered and verifiable individually.

Can I verify your ZINWA certificates?

Yes, and we would encourage it. Every certificate on this page shows its ZINWA verification code and carries a QR code. ZINWA reserves the right to confirm and validate any certificate using that code on its eGP system.

When do your certificates expire?

The current set of certificates was issued in May 2026 and is valid to 31 December 2026. This page is updated when they are renewed.

What should I ask any bulk water supplier?

Whether they are registered with ZINWA and can show you the certificate, whether the registration covers the actual vehicle delivering your water, where the water is abstracted from, and how the tanker is maintained. A supplier operating properly will not mind being asked.
