What the price includes

  • The water itself.
  • Delivery to your address within Harare.
  • Discharge into your tank, reservoir, sump or pool.
  • Delivery hose to reach storage set back from where the tanker stands.
  • The same rate at any hour, on any day of the week.

No surcharges

There is no separate express tariff, call-out fee, weekend rate or public holiday rate. A 5,000 litre load ordered at 2am on a Sunday costs US$50, the same as one ordered on a Tuesday afternoon.

Why we publish prices

A good deal of bulk water in Harare is sold on "call us for a quote". That is not always a bad-faith tactic — genuinely variable jobs exist — but for a standard tanker load to a suburban address it mostly means the price is set after the supplier has worked out how urgently you need it.

We would rather publish the number. If US$30 or US$50 does not suit you, you have not wasted a phone call finding out, and if it does, you already know what you are agreeing to before we speak.

The exception is genuinely variable work: multi-load pool fills, construction programmes and repeat commercial deliveries. Those we quote, because pretending otherwise would be the same trick in reverse.

How to compare bulk water suppliers fairly

Price per load is the obvious comparison, but it is not the only one that decides what you actually pay. Four questions worth asking any supplier, including us.

Is that the delivered price?

Some quotes are for the water, with delivery added afterwards. Ask for the total to your address.

Does the price change after hours?

An attractive daytime rate matters less if the night rate is different. Ask what a 2am load costs.

Is there a distance surcharge?

Ask whether your specific suburb carries an extra charge before you agree a price.

Are they registered and compliant?

Ask about registration and ZINWA compliance. It is a fair question and a supplier should not mind it.

Our compliance position

Quotations for larger volumes

Anything above 5,000 litres in a delivery, or a job needing several loads, is quoted rather than priced from this list. That covers swimming pool fills after maintenance, construction programmes, complexes catching up after a long outage and standing commercial arrangements.

To quote accurately we need four things:

  • The total volume, or the pool dimensions if you are not sure.
  • The delivery address, including the suburb.
  • When you need it, and whether it repeats.
  • Anything unusual about site access.

Payment

  • Cash on delivery

Payment is cash on delivery. You pay the driver once the water has been discharged.

For quoted work such as multi-load pool fills or construction programmes, payment terms are agreed with you at the time of quoting.

Further payment methods will be added as they become available.

Nothing to pay up front

There is no deposit or prepayment to place a standard order. You confirm the volume and the address, we deliver, and you pay on delivery.

Questions

Bulk water prices — frequently asked questions

How much does bulk water cost in Harare?

DM Bulk Water charges US$30 for 2,500 litres and US$50 for 5,000 litres, delivered within Harare. Volumes above 5,000 litres are quoted on request.

Do you charge extra for night, weekend or emergency deliveries?

No. The published prices apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including public holidays. There is no express tariff, call-out fee or after-hours surcharge.

Is delivery included in the price?

Yes. US$30 and US$50 are delivered prices within Harare, including discharge into your storage. They are not a price for the water with delivery added afterwards.

How much is water per 1,000 litres?

Ordering 5,000 litres works out at US$10.00 per thousand litres, and 2,500 litres at US$12.00 per thousand. The larger load spreads the cost of the trip further, which is why it is better value where your storage can hold it.

Can I get a price for more than 5,000 litres?

Yes. Larger volumes, multi-load jobs and repeat deliveries are quoted individually. Tell us the total volume, the delivery address and the timing, and we will price the job before anything is dispatched.

Do prices change?

Prices are reviewed periodically and this page shows the date of the last review (currently 23 August 2026). The price we confirm when you order is the price you pay for that delivery.
