Avondale is one of the densest parts of northern Harare: flats, shared houses, student accommodation and a busy commercial centre, all needing water at once when the supply goes.
Avondale packs more people onto less ground than the eastern suburbs. Blocks of flats, subdivided houses and student accommodation near the university mean one address can be supporting many more people than its stand size suggests.
When municipal supply is interrupted here, tanks empty fast. For most Avondale flats and shared houses the 5,000L delivery at US$50 is the sensible order: the value per litre is better and it lasts through the interruption rather than into the middle of it.
A lot of Avondale water is ordered by someone who does not live at the address: a landlord, a managing agent, or one tenant organising on behalf of a block. That works fine. We take the order from whoever is arranging it and deliver to the address given.
If you manage several Avondale properties, contact us rather than placing separate orders each time supply fails.
The shopping centre, surrounding offices, restaurants and salons all run on water they cannot trade without. We deliver to commercial premises in Avondale around the clock, including before opening or after close so the tanker is not blocking customer parking.
